In the middle of the eighteenth century the Peshwa house raised this ghat in Kashi. It is a long ghat of solid old masonry, with a small Shiva temple above and broad clean stairs. The flame of Manikarnika and the quiet steps of Bajirao run side by side. The ghat lies between Manikarnika and Scindia Ghat. Mornings bring both the bathers and the riverside walkers.

अठारहवीं सदी के मध्य में पेशवा घराने ने काशी में यह घाट बनवाया। पुराने जमाने की ठोस चिनाई पर बनी यह लंबी सीढ़ियों वाला घाट है, जिसके ऊपर एक छोटा सा शिव मंदिर है। मणिकर्णिका की चिता-धुनी और बाजीराव की शांत सीढ़ियां पास-पास चलती हैं। यह घाट मणिकर्णिका और स्किंडिया घाट के बीच बसा है। सुबह के समय यहां स्नानार्थी और किनारे पर चलने वाले दोनों दिखते हैं।
