The Trilochan Mahadev temple is counted among the oldest Shiva sites of Kashi. The ghat is said to hold the darshan of three lingams, symbols of Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. The ghat has carried the name Trilochan down the centuries. It lies between Gai Ghat and Badri Narayan Ghat, and from the upper stairs the eye runs towards the Panchganga quarter. Worship and bathing continue through the day, and Shivratri decorates the ghat specially.

त्रिलोचन महादेव का यह मंदिर काशी के प्राचीनतम शिव स्थलों में गिना जाता है। मान्यता है कि घाट पर तीन लिंगों के दर्शन होते हैं, जो ब्रह्मा, विष्णु और महेश का प्रतीक माने जाते हैं। घाट का पुराना नाम ‘त्रिलोचन घाट’ ही चला आया है। यह घाट गै घाट और बद्री नारायण घाट के बीच बसा है। ऊपर की सीढ़ियों से पंचगंगा क्षेत्र की ओर नजर जाती है। सुबह-शाम यहां पूजा और स्नान दोनों चलते हैं, और शिवरात्रि पर घाट विशेष रूप से सजता है।
