Tied to the tale of the devotee Prahlad, this ghat has stood since the fifteenth century. A temple of Prahlad rises at its centre, where the devotee of Vishnu is worshipped in the story of Lord Narasimha. The Nishad (fisherfolk) community lives in this quarter, and part of the ghat was once divided off to form the Nishadraj Ghat. The calm of the north end and the open river view are its marks.
